Under the blanket of darkness
through the hum of the machine
mesmerized by the glow
she writes
words transcending onto the screen
letters forming thoughts jumbled inside her head
she finds comfort in the friendship bestowed by the computer
a safe place to download her thoughts
funny and sweet
sad and insightful
playful and witty
curious and dumb
she writes
under the dim of the sun
in the far north alaskan sky
what lies within her can be communicated
through the words she writes
