A White Girl's Slam

After reading this, a peculiar question comes to mind:
Was it always like this,
or have we left humanity behind?

Today, I can read an article
written three hours ago
about an incident
three hours by flight.

Before technology,
someone like me would never know
that anyone was shot
at the Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle.
Unless, I suppose, they were related to me.

So the first gun was created
in Century 17th.
Before that, no one could walk into a small area
and blow up a radius of people.
At best, you'd need all your friends
to do that.

Amazing what humans have become. Once we sectioned off into idealist groups everyone began to hate each other. At least in the old days warfare required skills - the sword, martial arts, etc. Now every idiot is blasting people he doesn't agree with. The real question is, in fact, why can't we all get along? Really, is it that bad or that hard?

Example: Israel and Palestine. Two groups that hate each other. Jews and Arabs have always hated each other. I don't see the point anymore. And they're always fighting over a tiny piece of land. Stop being greedy. In politics, including this and other countries, power corrupts and ultimate power corrupts ultimately.

Rodney King's timeless question is much bigger than he knew. Can't we all just get along?
